Martin Boyce (Independent Research)

These are some of Boyce’s works, he produces site-specific works that have elements of the urban landscape, mixed with interior design, his works are looking at exploring the built up environment of the cities, the natural surrounding landscapes, and then the mundane everyday areas that we live and move though all the time.
I find Boyce’s works interesting, I think partly because of how weird it is with the weird things attached to the ceiling, which I read as being representative of the sky because of the way there broken up and uneven, but in some places repetitive and hard to see the differences, I’m not sure whether this is just because of the picture or not but that’s how I read it. Then you have the structure on the floor, with a lot of strait lines representing the modern house the 4 walls, with doorways and windows, that’s then broken up by the colours and the jagged lines which to me show how it’s all ways changing.
