Jonny Briggs
These are some of the works of Briggs that I particularly
liked that he mentioned jurying his talk, I liked a lot of the narratives that
he used in his work of the connection between him and his dad, and parents in
general, I also like how he show some of them a lot especially the house that
was grown out of cancer cells, which in its self is amazing that it’s possible,
but is made more poignant because of the fact that his mother had cancer.
Then with some of his other works where he cuts images in
half and moves his sisters head to his creating a distorted reality where you
have his head floating on the outside of reality, which is another aspect that
he wanted to show in his work, reality and a kind of none reality, this is the
kind of thing which just looking at the image it look interesting and different
but then when you find out what it’s about you get a greater understanding from
the work, and I like that.
