Hesther van Doornum (Independent Research)

 These are some amazing painting by Van Doornum, and that's the main reason I putting them on here because I really like them, there very realistic but at the same time are a bit impressionistic, other than that there not a lot I can say, I like the works because of his style of painting, and there extremely well done. on a side note he dose talk about his own work in a much more informative way than I am at the moment, that's at the bottom of the linked page.

Sebastian Errazuriz (Independent Research)

These are a couple of examples of some of Errazuriz work, he creates these flamboyant and representative shoes, which connect the relation ships that he’s had, it’s a fascinating peace of work because of how he transforms events from relationships into pieces of art, I feel though that this work wouldn’t work without the text, the text helps to explain and inform me about why the shoes look like that, and without that text my first impression of it would be its another crazy pieces of clothing from the fashion world, but that’s not a criticism of the work more an observation of how important text can be in some art works, I also feel that the designs are good they work to represent what he wants, but having said that, again if the text weren’t there, you might be able to deduce some meaning from them but not as much as is contained in the text, other than that thought I like the designs there interesting and intricate, the honey comb paten works really well, others are simpler but still work to represent his ideas.

Anamorphic Drawings (Independent Research)

This is some examples of Istvan Orosz who is a Hungarian illustrator, who’s created these amazing pieces of art, which normally look distorted, then by adding a reflective cylinder focuses the image into an actual images which is distinguishable as an object, there’s also some more pieces on the link at the bottom which are images that look normal, but then by placing the reflective cylinders in the right place show things which aren’t visible to the naked eye. I’m putting this up one because it’s some impressive work the detail and realness of the works is amazing, but also the fact that some of it’s only visible though a reflective surface that curved is really cool and interesting. Whether or not I’ll ever use soothing like this as inspiration for future work, I’m unsure about, because it’s something which seems to be very particular to drawing and illustrations, and I can’t think of a way in which it could be used for photography, but it’s an interesting style and is something worth considering and keeping in mind for the future.

Henri Cartier Bresson (Independent Research)

This is some of the work of Bresson who is an amazing street photographer, who manages to create images that are extremely well timed and composed, the couple of examples that I’ve put up show that amazingly, just because of the fact that the timing he would have needed to get the guy jumping over the water, and going past that opening, must have been extremely hard, as well as that the fact that he did it all on film as well, know checking to see what the image is like and thinking the exposures a bit of I’ll shoot it again. I think this is why I like Bressons work so much just because of the things that can go wrong with it, with just the timing being hard to get, as well as making sure the exposures and every things right, but I also like it because it has a feel to it which makes it look really and upstaged, unlike the work say of Gregory Crewdson whose work is grate but you still get the feeling that it’s staged with some of the lighting and how perfect some aspects of the image are, but with Bresson the work seems really, whether it is or not I’m not sure but I feel in this case it might be better not knowing because knowing might detract from the amount I like the image.
